Kobe's 43 beats Suns, puts Lakers in playoffs

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Helped by the absence of Steve Nash, Kobe Bryant put on his usual one-man offensive show and the Los Angeles Lakers easily clinched a playoff berth.
Bryant made a late-season case for league MVP honors, scoring 43 points in a 109-89 rout of the Phoenix Suns on Sunday.

Thats right people, The Lakers are back in the playoffs! This is some exciting news and now that the Portland Trailblazers are the worst team in the league I think it's time for all you Blazer fans to come over to the darkside. I realize that the Lakers probably wont advance very far in the playoffs but it's a promising start for this young squad. I predict they will be back in the Finals within the next couple of years as long as Kobe and Phil continue to get along. Woot!
