Portland man takes nailgun to the head!

Take a look at this picture and tell me how this guy is alive! This is really a bizarre story. I'm not sure how someone could put a nail gun to their head and manage to shoot 12 nails off before stopping. I get the whole desperation part but it seems like you would pass out from the pain pretty quickly. Or maybe it didn't hurt that much. After all the guy did manage to survive thanks to those OHSU people.

The man went to a hospital complaining of a "small headache" the day after he tried to kill himself with the nail gun, authorities said..

Thats all 12 nails to the head gives you? A small headache? Wow. I guess if you want to kill yourself you have now been informed that a nail gun won't necessarilyly do the trick.
