Football Week: Running Backs
I haven't been able to post as much for my theme week as I would have liked. But today I am going to attempt to put together my list of the top five running backs for the 2006 season:

5. Reggie Bush (New Orleans Saints) - Yeah I know this is a risky pick all the way up at #5 but I think Reggie will be rolling all over everyone this year. He's just one of those special people who is going to do amazing things in the league. Bush having a good season this year also makes him my pick for this years ROY award. Go Bush!
4. LaDainian Tomlinson (San Diego Chargers) - Well the risky picks ended at #5, from here on out I have to go with the obvious choices. LT is always one of the best out there every year. The only question I have is whether or not he can stay healthy. If he can then the league is going to see another MVP like season from LT.
3. Steven Jackson (St. Louis Rams) - The Rams have a new coach and the former star at running back (Faulk) is finally gone. These two things mean huge numbers for Steven Jackson. Fans of the Ram's are finally going to get the chance to see why this guy is so special as the team will most likely build their offense and future around him. Expect crazy numbers from Jackson this year.
2. Larry Johnson (Kansas City Cheifs) - This one was tough. If this guy plays a full season his game will be tough to beat.. But I'm gonna bet that he doesn't beat out my #1 pick.. It will be close though..
1. Sean Alexander (Seattle Seahawks) - 27 rushing TD's last year, 16 the year before, and 14 before that.. Alexander is on track to bust out 30 something this year if he keeps up this pace.. And yeah, I basically think he will. The Seahawks aren't going to pull a dissappearing act like many Super Bowl losers do. This will be another monster year for Sean and the Seahawks.
